Every game on the hub is free to play. Coins pay for small extras: a hint, an archived puzzle, a retry. You can earn every coin you need by playing. Buying them is optional.
Earning coins
Winning a game earns coins. So does finishing the kids daily practice checklist. Free-play rounds that you start after the daily one do not pay out.
There is no daily login reward, no countdown, and no message telling you that you are running low. That is deliberate.
Spending coins
Coins buy small actions inside a game, such as a hint in Linked or a reveal in the crossword. They also open past days in the Time Machine (100 coins a day) and Dishwasher chapters 2 to 7 (250 coins each).
Passes make one kind of action free for good. Some belong to a single game, such as unlimited Linked hints or unlimited poker buy-ins. Others work across every game: every reveal, every retry, or every undo. Passes cost 400 to 900 coins.
Buying coins
| Product | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| 1,500 coins | $1 | Coins added to your wallet. |
| 5,000 coins | $3 | Coins added to your wallet. |
| 10,000 coins | $5 | Coins added to your wallet. |
| Supporter Pack | $5 | Everything coins can buy, now and in future, plus 10,000 coins. |
Payment goes through Stripe. The Supporter Pack page lists exactly what it covers, counted from the live catalog. It costs the same as 10,000 coins on their own, so if you were going to spend $5, it is the better buy.
Adopt a Game
Adopt a Game ($25) commissions a new game. You pay, I get in touch, and we work out the game together. It does not add coins or open anything in the games.
Restoring a purchase
Purchases are kept on your device as a signed receipt. To restore them on a new device, or after clearing your browser data, go to /supporter and enter the email address you paid with. One purchase can be active on up to five devices.
If restoring does not work, write in through the support page at /support with your Stripe receipt, and I will reactivate the purchase by hand.
