Wanessa Labs is a two-person consulting practice run by Clemens Wan and Vinessa Wan. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Information we collect

This website is mostly static and does not ask you to create an account or fill out forms. The limited information we may collect:

• Contact information you choose to share. If you email us or reach out through LinkedIn, we receive whatever you send: your name, your message, and your contact details. We use it only to respond.
• Basic, privacy-friendly analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not collect personal data. We cannot use it to identify you.
• Error and performance data. We use Sentry to detect technical errors so we can fix them. This may include a page URL, browser type, and a technical error trace. We do not use it to track individuals.
• Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site. This is routine infrastructure logging, not profiling.

Social and platform data

We display public, aggregate metrics from platforms we publish on, including LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Substack, using their official APIs. For example, we may show a public follower count. We access only aggregate, publicly available figures. We do not collect, store, or process the personal data of other people's accounts or audiences through these integrations. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies.

How we use information

• To respond to messages and inquiries you send us.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website.
• To understand aggregate site traffic and fix technical problems.
• To meet legal and security obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics provider is cookieless. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function or to keep it secure.

Service providers we rely on

We use a small set of trusted providers to run the site. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service:

• Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, security, and privacy-friendly analytics.
• Sentry: error and performance monitoring.
• Social platforms (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Substack): public metrics and outbound links.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and our business.

Data retention

We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and our working relationship, then delete it. Aggregate analytics and error data are retained for limited periods according to our providers' standard settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email us at wanessalabs@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.

International visitors

We operate from the United States. If you access the site from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

Children's privacy

This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here on this page.
